Douglas Carl McMahon, the son of Gerald Stephen and Lois Lorraine (Anderson) McMahon, was born January 8, 1963 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Doug attended Rock Port High School, Rock Port, Missouri, graduating in 1981. He then attended Northwest Missouri State University, Maryville, Missouri, earning his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.

 

Doug was united in marriage to Pat Behrens and became step father to Jared, Dana, and Derek. They later divorced. Doug was united in marriage to Anna Beth Sheldon and they became parents of one son, Mason Douglas. He also became step father to Kayti, Samantha, Seth, and Kori. They later divorced.

 

Doug was employed by Con Agra where he worked as the Production Manager for over 20 years.

 

Doug was an avid Blue Jay fan and excelled in high school football, basketball, and legion baseball. When Mason became a student at Tarkio High School, Tarkio, Missouri, Doug enjoyed watching the East Atchison Wolves. He also enjoyed supporting the Northwest Bearcats, Kansas City Royals, and Kansas City Chiefs. Doug passed away Saturday, April 16, 2022, at his home in Rock Port, at the age of 59.

 

Doug was preceded in death by brothers, Ron and Mike McMahon. Survivors include son, Mason Douglas McMahon, Tarkio; parents, Gerald and Lois McMahon, Rock Port; siblings, Cathy (Jim) Roup, Rock Port, Dan (Barb) McMahon, Webster City, Iowa, Elaine Lewis, Rock Port, and Mark (Marcy) McMahon, Rock Port; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.

 

Funeral Service: 1:00 P.M., Friday, April 22, 2022, Grace Church, Rock Port.

Open visitation begins 9:00 A.M., Thursday, April 21, Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port. There is no scheduled family visitation.

Interment: Elmwood Cemetery, Rock Port.

Memorials: Payable to Douglas McMahon Memorial Fund to be used for his son, Mason.

Arrangements: Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port.
