We were so saddened to hear of Earlene’s passing. She was a lovely lady and we enjoyed her (& Larry’s ) company at our HitchHiker campouts and then at Leisure World in Texas. She was a wonderful friend and will be greatly missed. Sincerest condolences to her family.

Hicks Family, Please accept our deepest condolences on the passing of your beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Looking back over all our years of showing, we hold so many memories of Earlene and Larry. She was truly a fixture at the shows—always there with unwavering support for the youth of Atchison County and cheering on her grandkids with so much pride. Above everything else, it was always abundantly clear how deeply proud she was of her family. May all the wonderful memories you share of her bring you comfort, strength, and peace during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with your entire family. With heartfelt sympathy, Randy & Anna Plattner

It was with great sadness that I read of Earlene's death. While we hadn't had much time over these past years, she was always one that I knew you could count on -- caring/steadfast/hardworking/devoted friend from our earliest days in elementary school throughout until our graduation as the Class of '58. She was a strong part of the "glue" that helped keep the Class of '58 informed and feeling connected, although we were all scattered across the country following graduation to many years ago. Tarkio was BETTER for having Earlene as a member of the community. She will surely be missed. Roger and I both offer good thoughts and prayers to surround her family in these days. Take care.
