Edward Keith Lutz, the son of Charles Edward and Mary Elsie (Wallace) Lutz was born August 21, 1939, in Nishnabotna, Missouri. He attended school in Nishnabotna and two years in Indianola, Iowa, before graduating from Rock Port High School, Rock Port, Missouri, in 1958. Keith entered the United States Army and proudly served his country overseas in artillery in Germany from 1962 to 1964.
For many years, Keith was employed by Donald and Phil Graves. He was also employed at Fairfax Implement.
In 1982, Keith was united in marriage to Michelle Gamache. They became the parents of two daughters, Mary Caitlin and Carley Ann. They later divorced.
Keith was an avid outdoorsman who loved to spend time hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed attending Northwest Missouri State University Bearcat football and basketball games. Keith enjoyed watching two of his favorites, Kansas City Royals baseball and St. Louis Blues hockey on television. Keith passed away Thursday, December 4, 2014, at Golden Living Center, Maryville, at the age of 75.
Besides his parents, Keith was preceded in death by brother, Larry Lutz. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Caitlin Lutz and Carley Ann Creviston both of St. Joseph, Missouri; three grandchildren, Gavin and Galen Stewart and Keatyn Creviston; brothers, Richard Lutz and wife, Debbie, Rock Port, Jerry Lutz, Maryville, and Marion “Tiny” Lutz, Fairfax; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service: 10:00 A.M., Monday, December 8, 2014, Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port.
Interment: Hunter Cemetery, Rock Port.
Open visitation will begin 10:00 A.M., Sunday, December 7, 2014, Minter Funeral Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 5:00-6:00 P.M.
