Eithel Grace Brindle, the daughter of Marie Baker was born on April 4, 1922 in Rock Port, Missouri. She went to be with the LORD, at the home of her daughter, Susan Marie Kerr in Leavenworth, Kansas, Sunday morning, June 18th at the age of 84 years.

 

On July 3, 1940, Eithel was united in marriage to Lewis Ross Brindle. They were long time residents of Rock Port. Eithel was a wife of 65 years, a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a great reader and was passionate about genealogy. Her favorite question was “have you written that down somewhere?” Eithel represented Rock Port as “Miss Rock Port” at the dedication of the Brownville Bridge. She was involved with the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary, and was a member of the First Christian Church, Rock Port.

 

Survivors include one son, Steve Brindle, Rock Port, daughter, Susan Kerr and her husband, Bob, Lansing; two granddaughters, Lorelei Winzenburg and husband, William, and Elizabeth Kerr; great-grandson, William John Winzenburg III, all of Lansing.

 

Eithel was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis, November, 2005.

 

Funeral services were Thursday, June 22, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port, Missouri, and were conducted by Pastor Gene Stowell, (LTC. Tet.) Leavenworth, Kansas.
Interment at Greenhill Cemetery, Rock Port, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to the Kendallwood Hospice, Kansas City, Missouri.
Services under the direction of Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port, Missouri.
