Eric Tyler Kerr, Springfield, Missouri, formerly of Kansas City, Missouri was born on September 22, 1989 in North Kansas City, Missouri. He attended Oak Park High School in Kansas City. Eric passed away at 12:50 pm on Sunday, March 30, 2008 at Cox South Memorial Hospital in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 18 years.

Eric had graciously decided to be an organ donor, and because of his thoughtful decision six people received the gift of life.

Survivors include his father and mother, Les and Brenda Kerr, Kansas City, Missouri; mother Jana Cooper, Newport News, Virginia; sisters, LaChanta Cooper, Newport News, Brooke and Katie Laws, Kansas City; Paternal grandmother, Virginia Kerr, Cross Timbers, Missouri; maternal grandparents, Jimmie and Marilyn Hughes, Rock Port, Missouri; maternal great grandmother, Faye Maness, Rock Port; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Eric is preceded in death by his grandfather, Donald Kerr and his great grandfather Logan Maness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 5, 2008 at the First Lutheran Church, Rock Port. Burial will follow in Linden Cemetery, Rock Port.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, April 4, 2008 at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons, White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 N. Antioch Rd, Gladstone, Missouri.
