I knew Erik because he was a classmate of my son's. I always enjoyed his quiet ways, his intelligence and wonderful sense of humor. He was my son's roommate for awhile and the best man at his wedding. I worked in Maryville and would occasionally stay over at the apartment when the weather was bad. It was always a blast. He, my son and their other roommate were birds of a feather. Reading science fiction and having marvelous conversations. They made witty and clever comments about anything and everything that had me in stitches. Erik, you might have been a quiet dude but you brought such joy to my life with your kindness. Rest easy dear Erik. You were loved.
