Evelyn Lorraine Moore
March 14, 1926 - December 15, 2010
Evelyn Lorraine Moore, the daughter of Charles E. and Vera S. (Kumoade) Titus, was born on March 14, 1926, in Rulo, Nebraska. She attended country schools in the Corning, Missouri, area.
On March 19, 1945, Lorraine was married to Tom Moore of Craig, Missouri, and they became the parents of six children. Tom passed away on July 2, 1974.
Lorraine worked with Tom on area farms, and later was a caregiver at Tiffany Heights Nursing Home in Mound City, Missouri. She was a member of the American Legion-Ladies Auxiliary Rock Port Chapter. She passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2010, at St. Francis Hospital, Maryville, Missouri, at the age of 84.
Besides her parents and husband, Lorraine was preceded in death by her two sons, Francis “Frankie” Moore and Roy Dallas “Duck” Moore, and her sister, Edith Ulhman. Survivors include four children, Charles Thomas Moore, Oak Harbor, Washington, Vera Ann Gallagher, Skidmore, Missouri, Estes Leon Moore, Oak Harbor, and Crystal Yvonne Martin, Skidmore; ten brothers and sisters, Betty Karras, Clearfield, Iowa, Walter Titus, Gravity, Iowa, Charlene Wallace, Maryville, Missouri, Edward Titus, Glenn Ferry, Idaho, Shirley Hofmaster, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Donna Smith, Pickering, Missouri, Bonnie Rantz, Joplin, Missouri, Lois Kennison, Glendale, Arizona, John Titus, Hopkins, Missouri, and Rick Titus, Creston, Iowa; thirteen grandchildren, Christine T. Darsam, Rebecca M. Moore, Jacquiline V. Eller, Frank Webb, Daphine Chambers, Anthony Lawrence, Ashley Lawrence, Phillip Moore, Troy Moore, Jeromey Moore, Danny Moore, Tommy Martin, Laressa Martin; and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
Services:
2:00 p.m., Monday, December 20, 2010, Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port
Interment: I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Craig, Missouri
Open visitation will begin 9:00 a.m., Sunday, December 19th.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:50 p.m., Monday, prior to the services at Minter Funeral Chapel.
