Faye Harvey (Lindsay) Chastain, the daughter of William A. and Artie Elizabeth (Andrews) Lindsay, was born March 11, 1920 in Tarkio, Missouri. She attended Tarkio schools.

In 1980, she was united in marriage to Eugene Chastain. Gene preceded her in death.

Faye was employed at the Tumble Inn Café. She also did housecleaning; cleaning the Northview Manor Nursing Home and the United Telephone Office for several years. She also volunteered at the Nutrition Center, and gave of her time picking up limbs at Niedermeyer Park and for the City of Tarkio. Faye passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at Community Hospital, Fairfax, Missouri, at the age of 88 years.

Faye was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Young At Heart Club, AARP, the Tarkio Business and Professional Women, and served on the board of Tarkio Housing.

Besides her parents and husband, Faye is preceded in death by her brothers, Bill Lindsay and Kenneth Lindsay; and sisters, Helen Long and Betty Barker. Survivors include her son, William Dean Lindsay, Tarkio; brother Robert Lindsay and his wife, Mary, Camdenton, Missouri; sisters, Barbara Lee Morgan, Cocoa, Florida, Clara Mae Avant, Houston, Texas; sister-in-law, Betty Jane Lindsay , Tarkio; nephew William C. Lindsay, Camdenton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services and Burial:
Saturday, July 12, 2008, 2:00 pm at Home Cemetery, Tarkio.
There is no scheduled family visitation.
Memorials may be directed to Northview Manor Nursing Home, Tarkio.
Services are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio.
