Frances H. Fischer, the daughter of Earl and Juanetta (Weaver) Poe, was born June 6, 1930 in Grant City, Missouri.  She attended Watson and Tarkio, Missouri schools.

On June 1, 1949, Frances was united in marriage to Carroll Fischer in Rock Port, Missouri.  They made their home in the “Fischer Timber” west of Watson until 1953, when they moved to Easton, Missouri.

Frances loved all people.  She was a devout Christian and a soul winner and wore out several cars hauling the local Easton children to and from Sunday school and Bible school at Midway Baptist Church south of Easton.  Many of the youth she loved returned throughout the years to thank her and tell how they eventually were saved and are serving in their churches because of her influence.  She also enjoyed playing the organ at church.

Frances loved yard work and always had beautiful gardens.  For a short time, she worked at Woolworth’s department store.  Frances passed away Sunday, February 2, 2020 at Mosaic Life Care, St. Joseph, Missouri at the age of 89.

Besides her parents, Frances was preceded in death by one grandson, Russell Franklin and two great-grandchildren, Ethan Russell Owen and Kristen Gatton; siblings, MaryAnn Rohwer, Robert Poe, Edgar Poe, Earvin Poe.  Survivors include husband Carroll Fischer, Easton; children, Danny (Wenona) Fischer, Watson, Jeanie Ann Fischer, Easton, John (Donna) Fischer, Easton, Pat Franklin, Princeton, Missouri; 14 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; sisters, Viola Gough, Sara Thompson, Ruby Feurt; brother, Arthur Poe.
