1954 – 2013
Rock Port, Missouri

 

Gary D. “Bud” Robertson, the son of Howard and Norma (Maupin) Robertson was born October 3, 1954 in Fayette, Missouri. Bud attended the New Franklin, Missouri Schools graduating in 1972. Bud then honorably served his country in the United States Army.

 

On March 16, 1987, Bud was united in marriage to Anita Moore at the Rock Port Baptist Church. They became the parents of two children, Ashley and Royce, and made their home in the Rock Port area their entire married life.

 

Bud was in the trucking industry since the age of 18. He owned and operated his own truck the majority of his life, while also working in agriculture. He also worked with Anita in the numerous food service and restaurant businesses they owned and operated together. Bud passed away Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Grape Community Hospital, Hamburg, Iowa at the age of 58.

 

Bud was preceded in death by infant daughter, Whitney; niece, Chelcy Rapp; father-in-law, Marvin Moore and grandparents. Survivors include his wife, Anita Robertson, Rock Port; daughters, Megan Sjostrand and her husband, Chris, Ashland, Missouri and Ashley Robertson and Justin Cotton, Peru, Nebraska; son, Royce Robertson and Caitlain Bantam, Rock Port; three grandchildren, Zy and Knox Cotton, Wyatt Sjostrand; parents, Howard and Norma Robertson, Franklin, Missouri; sisters, Teresa Pfizenmeir, and her husband, Scott, Marshall, Missouri, Pam Rapp, and her husband, Bill, Boonville, Missouri, Gina Silvey, and her husband, Greg, Boonville, Kim Knigge, and her husband, Jerry, Columbia, Missouri; mother-in-law, Jean Moore, Rock Port; sister-in-law, Robin Shirley, and her husband, Rick, Farragut, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Memorial Services: 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 28, 2013, Brownville Christian Church, Brownville, Nebraska.
A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
A register book will be available 9:00 A.M. Tuesday at Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 – 10:50 A.M. at Brownville Christian Church prior to the service.
