Gerald F. Lee, the son of William Francis Jasper Peter and Georgia Louise (Million) Lee, was born September 25, 1945, in Rock Port, Missouri. He attended Rock Port High School, graduating in 1965. On May 4, 1967, Gerald entered the United States Army and proudly served his country overseas during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged December 5, 1968.

On September 30, 1966, Gerald was united in marriage to Cindy Wallace at the Tarkio Baptist Church in Tarkio, Missouri. They made their home in Tarkio their entire married life and became the parents of two children, Melissa and Bill.

In Gerald’s youth, he was employed at Watt’s Cleaners and Les Jones’s Lumberyard in Rock Port and worked on the hay crew for Duke Morrison. Gerald was a farmer, who tended to his fields and loved caring for his livestock. For 15 years, he was also employed at the Kawasaki plant in Maryville, Missouri, before retiring in 2011.

Gerald was a member of the Allen-Schiffern American Legion Post # 199, Tarkio, former member of the Rock Port Lutheran Church and was a member of the Tarkio Baptist Church. He enjoyed being outdoors fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandkids. Gerald passed away Saturday, February 14, 2015, at Community Hospital-Fairfax, Fairfax, Missouri, at the age of 69.

Besides his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by sister, Master Sergeant Marilyn Lee. Survivors include wife, Cindy, Tarkio; daughter, Melissa “Missy” McClellan and husband, Robert, Barnard, Missouri; son, Bill Lee and wife, Barbie, Tarkio; two grandchildren, Megan and Brooke Lee, Tarkio; brother, Orville Lee and Barbara Lee, Shenandoah, Iowa and their daughter, Nikki Kersten and husband, Ryan, Sidney, Iowa; sister-in-law, Betty Millsap and her husband Jack, Tarkio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service:
10:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 18, 2015, Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio.
Interment: Home Cemetery, Tarkio.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, at Davis Funeral Home.
