Gertrude F. Johnson, the daughter of George Henry and Nellie L. (Hoover) Fahseler, was born August 3, 1922 in Rock Port, Missouri. She had eight sisters and two brothers. Gertrude attended Rock Port schools.
In 1939, Gertrude was united in marriage to Oscar William “Bill” Johnson, in Maryville, Missouri.
