Glen Eugene Sapp, the son of Elmer and Ruth Sapp, was born August 6, 1935, in Hamburg, Iowa. He attended and graduated from Farragut, Iowa, schools.
Glen was united in marriage to Barbara Aspedon and they became the parents of five children. They later divorced. Glen married Mary Hardy Phillips, who brought into their marriage four children.
Glen spent many years at Funk’s 66 and Sorensen’s Tire and Auto working in automotive. After retiring, he worked for Mather’s Construction hauling tile. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing and would just pack up and go camping. Glen enjoyed spending time with his family and grandkids. Glen was a 35 year member of the Eagles Aerie 968 of Nebraska City, Nebraska. He was also an avid bowler and had received many trophies. Glen passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015, at Tarkio Rehabilitation and Health Care, Tarkio, Missouri, at the age of 79.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Myrtle Nixon and Marge Vickers; and infant brother, Gerald. Survivors include wife, Mary; children, Joyce (Keith) Shelton, Jerry (Sue) Sapp, Jim (Lorie) Sapp, Janet Sapp, and Joe (Teresa) Sapp; stepchildren, James Phillips, Leslie Hollister and significant other, Bruce Humphries, Tracie Phillips and friend, Glenn Davis, and Kim Blum; 22 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Memorial Service: 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 4, 2015, Westboro Fire Station, Westboro, Missouri, where the family will receive friends from 2:30-4:00 P.M.
A private family inurnment, Riverton Cemetery, Riverton, Iowa.
