Harold Dean Eagans, the son of Ermine and Dorothy Jewel (Driskell) Eagans, was born August 7, 1949 near West Plains, Missouri. He attended school in West Plains. On April 3, 1969, Harold entered the United States Army where he served his country during the Vietnam War. He received his honorable discharge on March 27, 1971.

 

On July 8, 1971, Harold was united in marriage to Peggy Howell and they became the parents of two daughters, Pamela and Sylvia. Harold and Peggy had just celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary. They lived in southern California for nine years before returning to Rock Port, Missouri in 1984.

 

Harold was employed for nine years as a janitor by Fairfax Schools, Fairfax, Missouri. He also worked many years for Eagans Construction. Harold enjoyed making bird houses and cooking. He was a member of the Ralph Greer American Legion Post #49, Rock Port. Harold passed away, Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at Tarkio Rehabilitation and Healthcare, Tarkio, Missouri, at the age of 71.

 

Besides his parents, Harold was preceded in death by siblings, Sharon Kay Kincannon, Emily Ann Parks, and Marvin Ray Eagans. Survivors include wife, Peggy Eagans, Rock Port; daughters, Pamela and Sylvia; siblings, Jim (Carma) Eagans, Rock Port, Ronnie Eagans, Tarkio, and Patti Mason, Auburn, Nebraska; many nieces, other family, and friends.

 

Funeral Service: 1:00 P.M., Saturday, November 7, 2020, Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port.

Visitation: 6-7 P.M., Friday, November 6, 2020, Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port.

Interment: Home Cemetery, Tarkio.

Memorials: Harold Eagans Memorial Fund.

Arrangements: Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port.
