Harry P. Shaw, the son of Wilford James and Catherine Isabelle (Hammond) Shaw, was born November 3, 1945, in Red Oak, Iowa. He attended Milton and Irish Grove country schools in Fairfax, Missouri, Watson schools in Watson, Missouri, and Tarkio High School in Tarkio, Missouri. Harry served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.

On August 15, 1982, Harry was united in marriage to Susan Hines at their home southeast of Fairfax, Missouri. Harry was employed at the Fairfax Implement Company before becoming self-employed as an over-the-road truck driver, pulling through all 48 states and Canada. Harry was a member of the Slo Rollers Car Club in Rock Port, Missouri. Susie passed away August 25, 2013. Harry passed away Friday, May 30, 2014, at Good Samaritan Society, Villisca, Iowa, at the age of 68.

Besides his parents and wife, Susie, Harry was preceded in death by brother, Charles Shaw and sister, Violet Angeline Shaw. Survivors include children, Louis Shaw and wife, Naomi, Fairfax, and Brenda Harber, Tarkio; stepchildren, Patty Clark and husband, David, and Harry Wooten and wife, Terry, all of Fairfax; seventeen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; brother, Steve Shaw and wife, Brenda, Rock Port.

Funeral Service: 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, June 3, 2014, Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio, Missouri.

Interment: English Grove Cemetery, Fairfax.
Open visitation will begin 9:00 A.M., Monday, June 2, 2014, at Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio, where the family will receive friends that evening from 6:00-7:00 P.M.
