Hazel Marie Beasing, the daughter of William and Greta Belle (Muntz) Leseberg, was born March 5, 1923 in Langdon, Missouri.  She attended Rock Port schools.

 

On November 1, 1941, Hazel was united in marriage to Donald Harold Beasing in Nebraska City, Nebraska.  They became the parents of three sons, Harold, Robert, and Reed.  Donald passed away in 1965.  Hazel raised her three boys and was a wonderful homemaker who diligently put her families’ needs before her own while providing a caring and spotless home. Hazel was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to many, and was a member of the Rock Port Baptist Church. She was an avid Kansas City Royals fan and loved watching birds and enjoyed beautiful flowers, as well as visiting with her friends and family.   Hazel passed away Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Rock Port, at the age of 96 years.

 

Besides her parents and husband, Hazel was preceded in death by her son, Harold Beasing; grandson, Kerry Beasing; siblings, Marvin Leseberg, Louis Leseberg, Esther Welch and Betty Sly.  Survivors include sons, Bob (Eliza) Beasing, Reed Beasing, daughter-in-law, Edith Beasing, all of Rock Port, grandchildren, Marla  Beasing Hampe, Kylie Beasing and Rex Husted; five great grandchildren, Kerry Jade, Brooke, and Ava Hampe, Rex Husted, and Sheyenne (Timmy) Sinclair; two great great grandchildren, Ella and Felicity.

 

Graveside Service and Interment: 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 21, 2019, Greenhill Cemetery, Rock Port.

 

Open visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, October 20, at Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port.

There is no scheduled family visitation.

 

Memorials may be directed to Rock Port Nutrition Center or Greenhill Cemetery, Rock Port.
