Jackie Jolene VanGundy, the daughter of Marvin Erwin and Eleanor Elaine (Ebert) Leseberg, was born February 12, 1960 in Fairfax, Missouri. Jackie graduated from Rock Port High School, Rock Port, Missouri in 1978 and Nebraska University, Lincoln, Nebraska in 1982 with a Bachelor’s Degree.

 

In 1982 Jackie was employed by the Atchison County USDA in Rock Port. She would later work for the newly named Farm Service Agency in Blue Springs, Missouri and Sedalia, Missouri. She was presently in Mound City, Missouri as the County Executive Director for FSA in Holt County.

 

Jackie was baptized on June 19, 1960 and confirmed on June 9, 1974 at First Lutheran Church, Rock Port. While living in Sedalia she enjoyed a special relationship with her First United Methodist Church family. Jackie loved her family and spending time with them was a priority, especially with her fiance Roger. Jackie passed away July 12, 2011 at Kansas City Hospice, Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 51 years.

 

Besides her parents Jackie was preceded in death by her son Martin Colby VanGundy. Survivors include fiance, Roger Livengood; daughters, Vanessa Paige VanGundy and Kelcy Jo VanGundy, all of Tarkio, Dana Livengood and his wife Julie and their son Levi, Burlington Jct, Missouri, Curt Livengood and his wife Carrie and their children, Parker and Annalee, Tarkio; sister Marvetta Volker and her husband Steve, Tarkio, nephew Zane Holmes and niece, Mikaila Lair and her husband Brogan and their daughter Kinley; and a host of family and friends.

 

Memorial Graveside Service and Inurnment:
3:00 PM, Friday, July 15, 2011, Hunter Cemetery, Rock Port, Missouri
There is no scheduled family visitation.
