Jackie Nuckolls, the daughter of James Herbert and Ruth (Peebles) Erickson, was born December 13, 1932, in the Blanchard, Iowa area. She attended a one room country school, where she met her future husband, Huston, before graduating from Westboro High School, Westboro, Missouri, in 1950.

On April 13, 1952, Jackie was united in marriage to Huston Harold Nuckolls at the Westboro United Methodist Church. After Huston’s military discharge, they moved to Kansas City, Missouri, for a few years before moving back to Westboro where they made their home and farmed. Huston passed away June 20, 1990. Jackie passed away Friday, September 27, 2013 at Community Hospital-Fairfax, Fairfax, Missouri at the age of 80.

Jackie sold Avon for many years and enjoyed painting crafts, wooden decorations and saw blades. She was a member of the Westboro United Methodist Church and of the Westboro Merrill-Smith Legion Auxiliary.

Besides her parents and husband, Jackie was preceded in death by son, Huston H. “Duke” Nuckolls; two sisters, Barbara Wade and Francis Ballinger; and brother, Jim Erickson. Survivors include three daughters, Debbie Lynn Honan and husband, Phil, Elmo, Missouri, Teresa Zoe Hogue and husband, Mike, Westboro, and Melody Ann Barnett and husband, Jamie, Tarkio, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

10:30 A.M., Tuesday, October 1, 2013, Westboro United Methodist Church, Westboro, Missouri.
Interment: Center Grove Cemetery, Westboro.
The family will receive friends 7:00-8:00 P.M., Monday, September 30, 2013, Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio.
