James “Jimmy” Harold Krusor, the son of James W. and Mary F. (Nauman) Krusor was born March 6, 1939 in Fairfax, Missouri. He attended school in Rock Port, MO, graduating in 1957. In 1958, Jim entered the United States Navy and served aboard the U.S. carrier, Midway. He received his honorable discharge in 1962 and returned to Missouri. Jim then continued his education, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in 1966 from Tarkio College, Tarkio, MO and a Master of Arts in 1979 from Northwest Missouri State University, Maryville, MO.
Jim was an executive with the Boy Scouts of America in Trenton, MO for 3yrs and Marshalltown, IA for 3yrs. He returned to NW MO and was a farm manager for 8 years. Jim then worked for the Iowa State Board of Medical Examiners, Des Moines, Iowa, for 8 years, followed by 7 years as an executive project director at the American Medical Association Headquarters in Chicago, Illinois. He was a member of the North Star Masonic Lodge #157 A.F. & A.M., Rock Port, Story-Hardin American Legion Post # 164, Craig, Missouri and the Rock Port Baptist Church. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, guns, coins and mushroom hunting. He passed away November 30, 2009 at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Leavenworth, Kansas, at the age of 70 years.
Besides his parents, Jim was preceded in death by an infant nephew, Brian Krusor and infant great-nephew, Timothy Roach. Survivors include his sister, Nina Sue Heits, Fairfax, and brother, Kenton E. Krusor and his wife, Rita, Winthrop, Iowa and several nieces and nephews and their families.
The body has been cremated
There will be no service or visitation.
A private family inurnment will be held at a later date
at Greenhill Cemetery, Rock Port.
