James W. Wallace, the son of William Andrew, Sr. and Nellie Diana (Hodge) Wallace, was born July 28, 1970, in Fairfax, Missouri. He attended Fairfax High School, graduating in 1988.

On February 14, 1998, James was united in marriage to Melissa Jean Morris, at the First Baptist Church in Tarkio. They made their home in Westboro, Missouri, then Queen Creek, Arizona, before returning to Fairfax in 2001. James passed away Thursday, August 9, 2012, at Community Hospital – Fairfax, at the age of 42.

James was employed by TMC Trucking for five years and by Waller Trucking until 2010. He was currently employed by MFA Oil Company, Fairfax.

James is preceded in death by brother, William Andrew Wallace, Jr.; sister, Betty Mae Wallace; grandparents, Glen and Ruth Wallace, Betty Mae Kirk, Nellie Slemp and Frank Hodge; and niece, Shana Wallace. Survivors include wife, Melissa, of the home, Fairfax; children, Amanda, Megan, Dasen, Angel and Austin Wallace; one grandchild, Na’Kyah Duke; parents, Andy and Diana Wallace, Fairfax; sister, Martha Johnson, Tarkio; brother, Jeff Wallace and wife, Kim, Fairfax; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services: 2:00 P.M., Monday, August 13, 2012, First Baptist Church, Tarkio. Interment: English Grove Cemetery, Fairfax.
The family will receive friends 6:00-7:00 P.M., Sunday, August 12, 2012, at Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio.
