Janett (Evans) Traub Adams, daughter of Evan and Audrey (Clark) Evans was born in Tarkio July 5, 1930. She graduated from Tarkio High School and attended Tarkio College.  She worked many years at Evans Rexall Drug Co.  She was an active member of the Tarkio United Methodist Church and its choir, Allen-Schiffern American Legion Auxiliary #199, and 8/40 Salon 816.  She served as a Sunday school teacher and Girl Scout leader, and participated in numerous Mule Barn Theater productions.

Janett married Floyd Traub September 2, 1952, and to this union two children were born: Michelle Halferty, Leawood, Kansas, and Sharolyn Adams, Tarkio. Floyd passed away June 29, 1956.  On January 26, 1960, Janett married Donald Adams, and he adopted her two daughters.  Don passed away March 24, 2009.

Janett will be remembered by her family for her beautiful voice and humor. In April of 2016, Janett began residing in Maryville Living Center in Maryville, Missouri. On Thursday, November 12, 2020, Janett passed away at Mosaic Medical Center in Maryville at the age of 90 years.

Besides her parents and husbands, Janett was preceded in death by her brother, John Evans and sister-in-law, LaVada Evans. She is survived by her daughters, grandchildren, Tressa Whittington and husband Kory Wallinga, Louisville, Kentucky, Ryan Halferty and wife Danielle, Los Angeles, California, and Erin Bonomo and husband Mike, Dallas, Texas; great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Dylan Halferty, Anthony and Gabriella Bonomo, as well as nephews Clark Evans and wife Holli, and Curtis Evans.

Graveside Service and Inurnment: 2:00 P.M., Saturday, May 15, 2021, Home Cemetery, Tarkio.

There is no scheduled visitation.
