Tarkio, Missouri

 

Jennifer DeeAnn Brown, 43, passed away peacefully at LaVerna Village Nursing Home in Savannah, Missouri, on July 19, 2013.

 

Jennifer was born in Fairfax, Missouri, on September 20, 1969. She was the second child of Lloyd and Leola Brown.

 

Jennifer was a lifelong resident of Tarkio, Missouri. She graduated from Tarkio High School in 1989. After she graduated, she enjoyed attending the Indian’s basketball games for many years. She also was an avid bowler, track and field athlete, and basketball player. Jennifer received numerous awards while competing in the Special Olympics. She worked for Northwest Missouri Industries in Rock Port, Missouri, for a number of years.

 

Jennifer enjoyed traveling with her family. She visited Germany and Canada. Jennifer also developed a love of camping while she was in Girl Scouts. She had a good sense of humor and loved to make others laugh. Jennifer also loved dogs. She was baptized at and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tarkio.

 

Jennifer was preceded in death by her mother, Leola Brown; grandparents, Walter and Annie Brown and Herschel and Alverna Hopkins; and cousins, Keith Brown, Barbara Goodman, Karen Timmerman, and Bonnie Davies. Survivors include her father, Lloyd Brown, Tarkio; brother, Roger Brown, Tarkio; sister, Janice Rothganger and husband, John, Weston, Missouri; uncle, Logan Brown; aunts, LaVonne Sharp, Lucille Brown, Caroline Hopkins, and Cinita Brown; and numerous cousins and friends.

 

A Private Family Graveside Service and Interment will be held at a later date at Home Cemetery, Tarkio.
There is no scheduled family visitation. Open visitation will begin 1:00 P.M., Saturday, July 20, 2013, at Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio.
