Jerry Lee Roberts, the son of Willis Theodore and Blanche Gertrude (Murry) Roberts was born March 24, 1941 in Tarkio, Missouri. Jerry attended Tarkio High School and then employed by the City of Tarkio for 17 years.

On June 1, 1964, Jerry was united in marriage to Cecelia Irene (Susie) Vogel at the Fairfax Baptist Church, Fairfax, Missouri, by Reverend Campbell. They made their home in Tarkio and became the parents of one daughter Marla Lea.

In 1974 Jerry and his family moved to Sparta, Missouri, where Jerry was employed by Fasco Fan Company in Ozark, Missouri. In the same year they returned to Tarkio where Jerry was employed for a short time by Don Whited, and then the Missouri Department of Transportation for 25 years, retiring in 1999. Jerry passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Tarkio Rehabilitation and Health Care, Tarkio at the age of 74.

Besides his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by a twin brother, Larry Roberts, twin brothers, Connie and Johnny Roberts, half-brothers, Darrell Wiley, Wilbur Wiley, and half-sister, Diane Witty. Survivors include his wife, Susie Roberts, Tarkio; daughter, Marla Lea Roberts, Tarkio; brother, Robert Wayne “Beanie” Roberts, Tarkio, half-brother, Jimmi (Mary) Wiley, St. Joseph, Missouri; sister, Linda Sue Riley, Springfield, Missouri; sisters-in-law, Patricia Norrell, Lakin, Kansas, Ginny McAdams, Kansas City, Missouri; brother-in-law, Bill Vogel, Eldon, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service:
2:00 PM, Saturday, January 2, 2016, First Baptist Church, Tarkio.
Interment: Home Cemetery, Tarkio
Open visitation will be Friday, January 1, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM on Saturday prior to the service at the First Baptist Church.
