Jesse Alan Reeves, the son of Jesse Howard and Deloris Iona (Tyler) Reeves was born June 25, 1963 in Fairfax, Missouri. He attended and graduated from Tarkio High School in 1981.

Alan lived in Tarkio his entire life and has worked for Burke and Sons Lumber Company, Rock Port, Missouri for over 20 years. For a brief time, he was employed by Brown’s Ag, also of Rock Port. Alan loved old cars and trucks. He built his own shop providing a place for him to enjoy his hobby. Alan was very quick witted and learned new skills easily. He passed away at his home in Tarkio on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at the age of 45.

Alan was preceded in death by his father, Jesse, on December 12, 2005; an aunt, Evelyn Purcell; uncles, Douglas Reeves, Jim Reeves, Kenneth Tyler and Clifford Reeves; paternal grandparents, Howard and Della Reeves; maternal grandfather, Lester W. Tyler; maternal grandparents, Verba and Jesse Lewis Reeves.

Survivors include his mother, Deloris Reeves, Tarkio; brother, David Reeves, Maryville, Missouri; sister, Charlotte Terhune and her husband, Phil, Arlington, Washington; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; aunts, Louise Ross and her husband, Donald, Kirbyville, Missouri, Marjorie Tyler, Shenandoah, Iowa, and Diane Reeves, Ankeny, Iowa.

Services: 1:00 pm, Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at First the Baptist Church, Tarkio.
Interment: Home Cemetery, Tarkio.
There will be no scheduled family visitation.
Memorials: First Baptist Church or Home Cemetery.
