John K. McNaughton

John K. McNaughton, the son of Ferrell and Jean Ellen (Heckenlively) McNaughton, was born January 9, 1943, in Maryville, Missouri. He attended Westboro High School, Westboro, Missouri, graduating in 1961.

John was employed by Atchison County Coop, Rolf Fertilizer and Supply, both in Rock Port, Missouri, Crop Production Services in Westboro, and Earl May Nursery in Shenandoah, Iowa. John also served as Mayor of Westboro for 12 years. In 2013, he sold his home in Westboro, and moved into Tarkio, Missouri, to the present time.

John was a member of the United Methodist Church, Westboro. He passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017, at Tarkio Rehabilitation and Health Care, at the age of 74.

John was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include sister, Karen Riley and husband, Elic, Elmo, Missouri; brother, Alan McNaughton, Westboro; nieces and nephews, Jeff (Rhonda) Riley, Lanita (Frank) Vanderbush, Jerry (Regina) Riley, Shane McNaughton, Somer Norman and Slade McNaughton; and numerous great nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Jim Hawkins for his dedicated friendship and the many hours spent with John the last few years of his life.

Funeral Service: 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, March 14, 2017, United Methodist Church, Westboro, Missouri.
Interment: Center Grove Cemetery, Westboro
Open visitation begins 9:00 A.M., Monday, March 13, Davis Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 P.M.
