Jon Henning, the son of William Gene and Ruth Elaine (Roberts) Henning, was born August 5, 1957 in Shenandoah, Iowa. Jon attended Westboro Elementary, Westboro, Missouri until sixth grade then transferred to Tarkio High School, Tarkio, Missouri, graduating in 1975.

In mid 1980s, Jon was united in marriage to Brenda Ruby and they became the parents of two children, Ben and William Daniel Henning. They later divorced. On August 22, 2003, Jon was united in marriage to Irene McPherson in Rock Port, Missouri and became father to Kari Lindeman.

After high school, Jon worked on automobiles, and plumbing and electrical work in home construction in Maryville, Missouri. He then farmed for Henning Farms Inc. with his father, Bill and brother, Jerry.

Jon was a former member of Westboro Fire Department, Westboro. He loved hunting and fishing and made numerous trips to the northern states and Canada. He especially enjoyed hunting caribou, lake trout, and walleye fishing with his father. Jon loved spending time with his grandchildren. Jon passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at Tarkio Rehabilitation and Health Care, at the age of 63.

Besides his parents, Jon was preceded in death by grandson, Timothy Leroy Lindeman, Jr. Survivors include wife, Irene Henning, Westboro; children, Ben Henning, William Henning, and Kari (Anees Momin) Lindeman; grandchildren, Brooklyn, Sumaira, Phillip, Grant, and Greyson; siblings, Judy Carnahan, Tarkio, Jerry (Debra) Henning, Tarkio, Julie (Carlos) Morino, Independence, Missouri; step-mother, Shirley Henning, Tarkio; numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service and Inurnment: 2:00 P.M., Friday, May 7, 2021, Center Grove Cemetery, Westboro.

There is no visitation.
