Jonathan Russell “Jon” Cobb was born July 26, 1984, to Marian Louise Cobb in Omaha, Nebraska. He graduated from Rock Port High School in 2003.

Jon worked in the factory and fast food industries, and was currently working as a roofer. He enjoyed bowling, every outdoor activity, and cooking. Jon loved all children, and had a personality that kids were drawn to. He spent his free time with his best friend, Scott Brion, and Toni Messbarger, who was like his second mother. Jon passed away April 30, 2011, in Watson, Missouri, at the age of 26 years.

Jon was preceded in death by his grandparents, Russell John Cobb, Sr., and Lorraine Frances Cobb. He is survived by his mother, Marian Cobb, and Kevin Coschka, Phelps City; brothers, Lorenzo Cobb, Rock Port, and David Cobb, Tarkio, Missouri; aunts, Francine Lockard and her husband, John, and Ruth Grothe, all of Omaha, Nebraska; uncles, Bill Cobb and his wife, Kim, Hamburg, Iowa, and Russell Cobb, Jr., Leavenworth, Kansas; and cousins, Eric Wilson, Lincoln, Nebraska, Sean Lockard, Nicole Grothe, Megan Lockard, and Sarah Grothe, all of Omaha.

Service: 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 4, 2011, Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port, Missouri.
Interment: Hunter Cemetery, Rock Port.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2011, Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port.
