Judith A. Wilczek, the daughter of Hubert L. and Winona (Watts) Haun, was born September 9, 1940 in Rock Port, Missouri. She attended Rock Port High School, Rock Port, graduating in 1958.

 

On April 1, 1958, Judy was united in marriage to Edward J. Wilczek at St. John’s Catholic Church, Monaca, Pennsylvania. They became the parents of three sons, Mick, Mark, and Matt.

 

Judy worked for her parents at the Central Café, Rock Port, until closing in 1974. She was then employed by Rock Port R-II Schools, where she worked in the cafeteria as a cook. Judy retired in 1995.

 

Judy was an avid musician who not only enjoyed music but could also play about any instrument placed in front of her. She loved knitting, cooking and crossword puzzles.

 

Judy was a member of St. Paul’s the Apostle Catholic Church, Tarkio. She also had formerly sang in the Sweet Adelines. Judy passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2021 in Lincoln, Nebraska, at the age of 80.

 

Judy was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include husband, Edward Wilczek, Rock Port; sons, Mick (Misty) Wilczek, Albany, Missouri, Mark (Lisa) Wilczek, Rock Port, and Matt Wilczek and (Girlfriend Deb), Papillion, Nebraska; grandchildren, Aaron Wilczek, Trent (Lauren) Wilczek, Cole (Melinda) Wilczek, Lacy (David) Lara, Jacob Wilczek, and Eli Wilczek; sister, Janice Burke, Rock Port; nieces Lauri Judson and Leslie Bremer, Rock Port; brother-in-law, Chester Wilczek, Monaca, PA; numerous great nieces and nephews; special friends, Rosita Stoner and Becky Kuhns, both of Rock Port and her adopted granddaughters the Meyerkorth Girls.

 

Memorial Service: 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 1, 2021, First Lutheran Church, Rock Port.

Family Visitation: 10:00-11:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 1, 2021, First Lutheran Church, Rock Port.

Inurnment: Greenhill Cemetery, Rock Port.

Memorials: Atchison County Democratic Committee

Arrangements: Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port.
