Justin Martin Ecker, the son of Danny and Carol Catherine (Johnson) Ecker, was born August 17, 1980 in Maryville, Missouri. He attended West Nodaway High School, Burlington Junction, Missouri, graduating in 1999. Justin attended Northwest Missouri State University, Maryville before moving to Stockton, California. He then attended University of Pacific, earning his Associate’s Degree in Sports Medicine. In January 2008, he became father to Jayden Martin with mother Lisa Niederwerder.

On July 3, 2017, Justin was united in marriage to Raychel Ecker in Maui, Hawaii. They became the parents of one daughter, Avery.

Justin was employed as a Corporate Executive for In-shape Health Clubs and 24 Hour Fitness. He was then a club manager for Genesis Health Clubs and was currently a sales representative for Blue Raven Solar Panels.

Justin was baptized in the Summit Park Church, Lee’s Summit, Missouri in 2019. He enjoyed being a dad, fishing, snowboarding, boating, karaoke, children’s sporting activities, concerts, helping on his family’s dairy farm, visiting his grandparents and cooking. Justin passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022, in Raymond, Minnesota, at the age of 41.

Justin was preceded in death by mother, Carol Ecker and brother, Jonathan Ecker. Survivors include wife, Raychel Ecker, Lee’s Summit, Missouri; children, Jayden and Avery Ecker, Lee’s Summit; parents, Danny (Anitta) Ecker, Elmo; sister, Jackie (T.J.) Shavnore, Blue Springs, Missouri, Jennifer (Skyler) McGinness, Elmo, Kristine Ecker, Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Nataleigh Ecker, Springfield, Missouri, and Eldon Ecker, Elmo; mother-in-law, Dawn (Doug Sobelman) Mitchell, Lee’s Summit, father-in-law, Joey Givens, Lodi, California; sister-in-law, Heather Ecker, Rosendale, Missouri; nieces and nephews, Kameron, Quinton and Jackson Shavnore, Madison and Hayden Ecker, Brody and Braxton McGinness; grandparents, Larry (Sharron) Ecker, Elmo; uncle David (Kymbra) Ecker, Elmo, aunt, Cindy (Jim) Schublein, Stockton; numerous cousins and friends.

Funeral Service: 11:00 A.M., Thursday, August 18, 2022, Tarkio Activity Center, Tarkio, Missouri.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M., Thursday, prior to the service, Tarkio Activity Center, Tarkio.

Interment: Lamar Cemetery, Elmo.

Memorials: Justin Ecker Memorial Fund.
