Kay Frances Harger, the daughter of Charles and Eula (Perry) Derrossett, was born October 19, 1939, in Hamburg, Iowa. She attended Rock Port High School, Rock Port, Missouri.

On August 18, 1957, Kay was united in marriage to Cecil M. “Bud” Harger, Jr., in Miami, Oklahoma. They became the parents of two children, Cecil M. “Buddy” III and Debra Kay. Kay was a homemaker, caring for her children, while Bud was serving in the United States Air Force.

Kay loved sewing, cooking, and enjoyed spending time with family. She passed away Saturday, November 23, 2024, in Lincoln, Nebraska, at the age of 85.

Besides her parents, Kay was preceded in death by son-in-law, Thomas C. Hart, Jr and brother and sister-in-law, Gary (Lois) Derrossett. Survivors include husband, Bud Harger, Rock Port; children, C.M. “Buddy” (Renae) Harger, Elkhorn, Nebraska, and Debra Hart, Tarkio; grandchildren, Ashley, Nick, Alyssa, Bradley, Susan, Jessy, Nash, and Nicole; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; brother, Charles (Beth) Derrossett, Rock Port.

All memorial services are pending.

Private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
