Keith Bolton was born December 12, 1922 to Guy Olin and Frances Fae (Proud) Bolton in Fairfax, Missouri. He passed away March 19, 2008 in Harlingen, Texas at the age of 85 years.

He attended Long Branch Country School and graduated from Fairfax High School in 1943.

He entered the Army Air Corp that June, during World War II and was discharged after being injured in training at Shepherd Air Base, Wichita Falls, Texas. He returned home and started his life long love – farming.

Keith and Carla J. Purchase were married on January 27, 1946. They have spent their 62 years of marriage on the same farm at Tarkio, Missouri. For the last 20 years, they have enjoyed traveling and being “Winter Texan’s” in Harlingen.

Keith was a member of the Tarkio United Methodist Church and attended the First United Methodist Church in Harlingen.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter Carol Ann; sister Louise Cline; and brothers, J. Dean Bolton and E.C. Bolton.

Keith is survived by his wife Carla of their home in Tarkio; children, Donald Keith, Houston, Texas, Robert Lee, Lakeside, California, Kenneth Ray and his wife Galen, Junction, Texas, Timothy Bruce of the home, and James Richard and his wife Norma, Houston, Texas; ten grandchildren, Steven Keith Bolton, Conrow, Texas, Robert Bolton and his wife Elizabeth, Bakersfield, California, William Bolton, Lakeside, California, Jacob Bolton and his wife Heather, Antioch, Tennessee, Brenda Ussery and her husband Justin, Mooresville, North Carolina, Sharilyne Cochran and her husband Steven, Riverside, Missouri, Maranda Fredrich and her husband Kurt, Allentown, Pennsylvania, Michael Bolton, Los Angeles, California, DeAnna Bolton and Matthew Bolton, Houston, Texas; six great grandchildren, Shelby Keith Bolton, Olivia and Isaac Ussery, Jaidyn Bolton, Sophia Cochran and Hannah Fredrich; sister Helen Scheiding, Loveland, Colorado; brother Jack Bolton and his wife Pat, Fairfax, Missouri; sisters-in-law Gloria Bolton, Fairfax, and Rosella Bolton, St. Joseph, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews.

Services: Wednesday, March 26, 2008, 10:00 am, Tarkio United Methodist Church, Tarkio.
Interment: Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Fairfax.
Family visitation: Tuesday, March 25, 2008, 7:00 to 8:00 pm at Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio.
Memorials: Tarkio United Methodist Church, American Diabetes Association or the charity of your choice.
