Kimberly was one of the most infectious people we've ever met, her smile lit up every room she ever stepped into. She was a beautiful person inside & out. We want to express our deepest sympathy & condolences to Kim's family, especially Rachel, Summer, & Kevin. We will never forget you Kimberly & our hearts are broken without you but we are comforted by the fact that someday we will see you again in heaven. Gone but never forgotten, forever in our hearts. Rest in peace my friend.

Twenty-eight years ago, Kim skipped into my classroom and gave me a smile that melted my heart. It was a joyous smile; the kind that came not only from the mouth but also the eyes. It didn't take long to realize there was an orneriness masked behind that smile that would test me during my first year teaching. I have to admit, a great deal of Kim's class time was spent writing notes or playing with the tiny toy animals she managed to sneak into the classroom. Kim loved standing with my books at the chalkboard, pretending to be the teacher. As I walked across the classroom, she would shadow my every move, giggling and leaving me to wonder what was to happen next. In my eyes, she was the perfect student. I didn't get to see much of Kim after she graduated, but when our paths did cross, I saw that happy little 12 year old girl again, and I wanted to wrap my arms around her and squeeze tight. Little did I realize so many years ago, she was the one teaching me and molding me to become the principal I am today. There are no words to express my sorrow. I loved that little girl with all my heart, and I loved the woman she grew up to be. Kayla and I often tell stories about Kim and our first year teaching. We couldn't believe they paid us to do this job. Kim's 6th grade class composite still hangs by my desk today. She will forever be in my heart.
