Kyleigh A. Parrish
1989 – 2015
Rock Port, Missouri

 

Kyleigh Ann Parrish, the daughter of Walter (Bud) Parrish and Terri Jackson, was born October 24, 1989, in Fairfax, Missouri. She attended Rock Port High School, Rock Port, Missouri, graduating in 2008, and attended college in the Omaha area.

 

During her high school years, Kyleigh was very active in athletics, drama club, & forensics. She played golf, basketball, and track, earning the Girls’ Discus State Champion honor in 2008. Kyleigh worked at Bass Pro and as a waitress at Texas Roadhouse. She was a very outgoing girl who lived life to the fullest.

 

Kyleigh passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015, at University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, Nebraska, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident, at the age of 25.

 

Kyleigh is preceded in death by her grandparents, Albert and Myrna Parrish; great-grandparents, J. L. and Dorothy Beesley and Marshall and Adeline Jackson. Survivors include her mother, Terri Jackson, Rock Port; father, Bud Parrish and wife, Melissa, Auburn, Nebraska; sister, Sophie Parrish, Rock Port; brother, Trever Parrish, Auburn; grandparents, Richard “Pude” and Pat Jackson, Craig, Missouri; aunt, Amy Oswalt and husband, Joe, Burr, Nebraska; uncle, Kevin Jackson and wife, Tisha, Rock Port; uncle, Kent Newcomb and wife, Denise, Mound City, Missouri; aunts, Leah Johnson and husband, Jimi, and Wanda Williams, all of Mound City; numerous cousins and friends, too many to mention.

 

Funeral Service: 2:30 P.M., Sunday, August 2, 2015, Rock Port High School Gymnasium, Rock Port.
Private Family Interment: Tharp Cemetery, Craig, Missouri.
Open visitation will begin 9:00 A.M., Saturday, August 1, at Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port, where the family will receive friends that evening from 6:00-7:00 P.M.
Memorials: Rock Port Athletic Programs or Nebraska Organ Recovery, Omaha, Nebraska.
