To the McKinnon family: Larry's talent with wood and creativity with tools was beyond awesome. His veggie garden he love to share with many. Always had time to visit with his neighbors and friends. God's Gentle Grace ~~ The Joesting's

So sad to hear of Larry's passing! We've enjoyed pickin' with him over the years and he always stopped by to visit us at the Brownville Flea Market. We always stopped on our way through. We will certainly miss him! Rest in peace, dear Larry. Your friends, Those Maryville Pickers

Larry and I were classmates at Lincoln Elementary School in Clarinda during the 1950s, and we were also friends. After he moved to Missouri I did not see him until a couple of years ago when he visited the Nodaway Valley Museum in Clarinda. We had a chance to talk, and I am very glad we had that opportunity to reconnect.

Such a talented loving man. We will miss him so much. He made frames for us plus I bought produce from him and he gave me gardening advice. Also we will always remember how much fun he had catching the skunk in our basement!

To Larry's family I am so sorry for your loss. He redid a bench for me that was my dad's. I lost my dad in 2013 and what he did for me I will always cherish. Larry was so good at wood working and I have a lot of his work and so does my mom. He will be missed a great deal.

My prayers to the family of Larry. He was a great friend and I will cherish all the birdhouses and the bench that he made with his very craftful mind and hands in my possession. May he rest in peace and I am positive Doug was there to greet him.
