I always liked Lawrence whenever I spoke at the Rock Port Church of Christ where he was a member. Always had a smile for everyone!😊

I first met Lawrence shortly after beginning my first career as a parts man at Fairfax Implement Co. From the very first I found him to be a patient and understanding customer as he guided me through the parts catalog to find the parts he was needing for the particular job, or jobs, he was working on at that time in his shop. I was a novice, and he knew it, but I can't once remember him ever becoming upset at my early inability to find his part(s), or upon my confirmation that we didn't carry the part he was needing. I credit him for being my unofficial tutor regarding the drive train components in International/Farmall tractors! But more than all that I considered him a friend, and am sorry I will not be able to attend his services. I offer my sincere condolences to Marietta and the boys and their families.

Wedel family, I'm so sorry for your loss and sending you strength during this painful time. Mr."Wedel" worked with my Grandpa Doc and my dad Ken at Kline Truck & Tractor. That is where I first met this man of God. One can never forget their first car and I bought mine (66'Galaxy 500 2 door) from Mr. Wedel. My dad said it was a great car, largely because it was in the hands of a master mechanic. Dad said I would forever regret not plunking down the $600 in my savings account at the time. I'm sure it was worth more but that is all I had and much to my surprise Mr. Wedel said that was exactly what he was asking for it! I remember stopping by Kline's on the weekend and Mr.Wedel would help me change the oil and make sure the motor was tuned to perfection. Talk about follow up! Later in life he would visit my father and that lifted my dad's (and mom's) spirits greatly. What a wonderful, kind and caring man. Rest in peace Mr. Wedel and may your family know your kind acts will never be forgotten.
