Lee Roy Lingerfelt, Jr., the son of Lee Roy, Sr., and Hazel (Callaway) Lingerfelt, was born August 7, 1959 in Fairfax, Missouri. He attended Rock Port schools graduating in 1977.

 

Lee Roy was employed by Blevins Trucking as a driver, hauling agricultural products and as a farm hand with their farming operation.  He also helped area farmers during the planting and harvest seasons as well as Mo Valley Ag, Rock Port, and Rock Port city municipalities.  During the 1990’s, Lee Roy was employed by Doug McCoy travelling throughout the Midwest helping with the wheat harvest. He loved hunting and fishing and in his younger years, excelled at football and baseball and was regarded an excellent pitcher.  Lee Roy’s daughter, Drew, was the apple of his eye, and she remained by his side providing care for him till his passing. Lee Roy passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at Community Hospital – Fairfax, Fairfax, Missouri at the age of 59.

 

Preceding him in death were his father, Lee Roy Lingerfelt, Sr. and sister, Kelly Lingerfelt.  Survivors include his children, Drew Lingerfelt, Tarkio, Dustin Lingerfelt, Council Bluffs, Iowa; granddaughter, Hailee Lingerfelt, Westboro, Missouri; mother, Hazel (Red) Kemerling, Tarkio; siblings, Vicci Molthan, Tarkio, and Quint (Rhonda) Lingerfelt, Rock Port; nieces, Quinn Goodman and Morgan Lingerfelt, nephews, Shane and Casey Molthan and Peyton Lingerfelt, and great niece, Abagail Goodman.

 

Private Graveside Service and Interment:

Monday, July 8, 2019, High Creek Cemetery, Watson, Missouri.

Open visitation will begin at 12:00 PM, noon, Sunday, Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio, where the family will receive friends from 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM.
