Linda F. Bennett, the daughter of Gerald and LaVerda (Tucker) Jacobsen, was born April 9, 1949 in Norfolk, Nebraska. She attended Wisner High School, Wisner, Nebraska, graduating in 1967.

 

On March 13, 1970 Linda was united in marriage to Wayne Bennett at the Fairfax Christian Church, Fairfax, Missouri. The couple made their home in Omaha, Nebraska and Rock Port, Missouri for a couple of years before moving to Tarkio, Missouri until the present time. They became the parents of two children, Rob and Lori.

 

Linda was employed by J and J Products, Tarkio, Excel Beef Packers, Phelps City, Missouri, Dial Greenhouses, Shenandoah, Iowa, Rock Port Market, FC Food Country, both of Rock Port, and R and L Grocery Store, Fairfax, Missouri. She was also employed by American Meter, Nebraska City, Nebraska. Linda often helped Wayne with automotive interior work at Bennett Body Shop, Tarkio.

 

Linda loved flowers, particularly yellow roses, working in the yard, celebrating Christmas, and had a huge Santa collection. Linda passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Community Hospital-Fairfax, Fairfax, at the age of 73.

 

Besides her parents, Linda was preceded in death by son, Rob Bennett; seven brothers and sisters; fur babies, Bridget and Poppy. Survivors include husband, Wayne Bennett, Tarkio; daughter, Lori and her husband, Kurt Clark, Tarkio; fur babies, Josie and Sophie; seven brothers and sisters; numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service and Interment: 2:00 P.M., Monday, March 27, 2023, Home Cemetery, Tarkio.

Open visitation begins 10:00 A.M., Sunday, March 26, Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio. There is no scheduled family visitation.
