Lloyd Dean Pitts, the son of Horace “Jack” Franklin and Fern (Walker) Pitts, was born February 7, 1940 in Toadhollar, Missouri. Lloyd attended Burlington Junction High School, Burlington Junction, Missouri.
On November 28, 1965, Lloyd was united in marriage to Donna Keever in Quitman, Missouri. They made their home in Burlington Junction their entire married life and became parents of two children, Trayton and Nikki.
Lloyd was employed by St. Joseph Light Power, Maryville, Missouri, retiring in 2001 as a District Journeyman Lineman.
Lloyd was a member of the Clearmont Baptist Church, Clearmont, Missouri. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and tending to his yard and vehicles, making sure there wasn’t a single weed or speck of dust. Lloyd especially enjoyed attending his granddaughter’s events until his health wouldn’t allow. Lloyd passed away Thursday, June 9, 2022, Pleasant View Nursing Home, Rock Port, Missouri, at the age of 82.
Besides his parents, Lloyd was preceded in death by siblings, Helen Bibbs, Jackeline Rogers, Bonnie Mires, Marilyn Sportsman, Nona Jane Pitts, Ronnie Dale Pitts, and Jack Pitts, Jr. Survivors include wife, Donna Pitts, Burlington Junction; children, Trayton (Julie) Pitts, Kansas City, Missouri and Nikki Parshall, Fairfax, Missouri; granddaughters, Morgan and Mercedes Parshall; siblings, Darlene Manini, Illiopolis, Illinois and Erma (Richard) Lockhart, Tarkio, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service: 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 14, 2022, Clearmont Baptist Church, Clearmont, Missouri.
The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 A.M., Tuesday, prior to the service. There is no open visitation at Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio.
Interment: Ohio Cemetery, Burlington Junction, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Alzheimer’s Association.
