Lois V. Hecker
1929-2013
Fairfax, Missouri

 

Lois Verlene Hecker, the daughter of Vernie E. and Mildred Faye (Wennihan) Taylor, was born August 24, 1929, in Fairfax, Missouri. She attended Fairfax High School, graduating in 1947.

 

On September 30, 1948, Lois was united in marriage to Robert Dean Hecker at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in St. Joseph, Missouri. They became the parents of two children, Larry and Debbie.

 

Bob and Lois moved to Nishnabotna, Missouri, in 1953, and later moved to Fairfax in 1984. Lois was a homemaker and a farmer’s wife. She was also an avid bowler for many years. Lois was a member of the Social Hour Club, in Nishnabotna, and was recently recognized as a 50 year member of the Ralph Greer American Legion Auxiliary of Rock Port, Missouri. Bob passed away March 7, 2002. Lois passed away Thursday, September 12, 2013, at Community Hospital-Fairfax, Fairfax, at the age of 84.

 

Lois was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Survivors include son, Larry D. Hecker and wife, Patty, Fairfax; daughter, Debbie K. Johnson and husband, Gary, Fairfax; grandchildren, Beverly King and husband, Chris, Tarkio, Missouri, Bill Hecker, St. Joseph, Missouri, Katy Beth Smith and husband, Zac, Fairfax, Clay Johnson and wife, Tiffany, Craig, Missouri, and Brett Johnson, Fairfax; great-grandchildren, Josie King, Chance Hecker, Tatem Johnson, Lane Johnson and Brylie Johnson; and numerous cousins.

 

Graveside Service and Interment:
11:00 A.M., Saturday, September 14, 2013, Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Fairfax.
There is no scheduled family visitation.
