Lucille J. Duncan, the daughter of Bruce Otto and Evva Louise (Powers) West was born May 20, 1931 in Hamburg, Iowa where she attended Hamburg, Iowa Public School graduating in 1948.

On July 16th 1952, Lucille was united in marriage to Bernard (Bub) Duncan in Sidney, Iowa. They made their home in the Hamburg area and became the parents of three children. During her lifetime, Lucille was employed at the Northwestern Bell phone office, the Iowa State Bank, and as a receptionist at the Hamburg Medical Clinic all of Hamburg. In 2011, due to the flood, Lucille moved north of Rock Port to be closer to her children. She later moved into Pleasant View nursing home in Rock Port.

Lucille loved to quilt, cook and read. Lucille passed away Saturday, December 02, 2017 at Community Hospital-Fairfax, Fairfax, Missouri, at the age of 86.

In addition to her parents and husband Bub, who passed away in 1985, Lucille was preceded in death by an infant son, and brother, Harley C. West. Survivors include her son, Bruce (Valerie) Duncan, Rock Port; daughter, Sally (Roger) Aufenkamp, Tarkio, Missouri; brother, Larry (Martha) West, Bellevue, Nebraska; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service and Interment:
11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 5, 2017, Hamburg Cemetery, Hamburg, Iowa.
There is no family visitation.
