Marcia A. Evans, the daughter of Harold Wayne and Eva Lene (Thompson) Reynolds, was born November 18, 1953, in Portsmouth, Virginia. She attended South Nodaway High School, graduating in 1971. In 2000, Marcia graduated from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri, with an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Elementary Education. Shortly after, she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Studies.

On April 10, 1977, Marcia was united in marriage to Raymond Michael Evans at the United Methodist Church in Barnard, Missouri. They became the parents of three daughters, Annah, Tricia and Karley and made their home in Chicago, Illinois, Barnard, Fort Worth, Texas, and later on Dallas, Texas, while Mike attended seminary at Dallas Theological Seminary. Marcia was employed as a paraprofessional in elementary schools.

In 2007, they made their home in Rock Port, Missouri, where Marcia worked as an elementary paraprofessional at Rock Port Schools. Marcia was a committed Christian and truly loved Jesus. She was faithful to the different churches Mike served as pastor, especially to Rock Port Baptist. Mike passed away June 16, 2012. In 2013, Marcia moved back to Maryville and worked as a paraprofessional at Hopkins Schools for a year until ill health forced her retirement.

Marcia was a member of the First Baptist Church, Maryville. She enjoyed playing and studying with her grandkids. Marcia passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2017, in Maryville at the age of 63.

Besides her father and husband, Mike, Marcia was preceded in death by brother, Wayne Reynolds. Survivors include three daughters, Annah Pettlon and husband, Kristopher, Maryville, Tricia French and husband, Tyler, Prairie Village, Kansas, and Karley Evans, Mission, Kansas; six grandchildren, Keyton, Jaxon, Anastyn, Jarrick, Tallulah and Arlo; mother, Eva Eskridge, Maryville; siblings, Norma Fattig and husband, Charles, Barnard, Joseph Reynolds, Beth Zech and husband, Jim, all of Maryville, and Martin Reynolds and wife, Becky, Kansas City, Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service: 12:00 P.M. (Noon), Monday, February 13, 2017, Rock Port Baptist Church, Rock Port.
Interment: Elmwood Cemetery, Rock Port.
Open visitation will begin 10:00 A.M., Sunday, February 12, Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port. There is no scheduled family visitation.
