September 3, 1964 - July 18, 2022
Margaret (Peggy) Renee Keenan, 57, passed away Monday, July 18, 2022. She was born September 3, 1964, in Colombia, Missouri. She is the beloved daughter of Alan and Joy McAdams. Peggy lived her childhood in rural Nebraska.
Peggy was a devoted loving wife of Patrick Keenan and mother of three children, Sean Long, Sarah Quezada and Devin Reynolds and three step children, Jonathan Keenan, Ashley Keenan and Daniel Sanchez.
Peggy never met a stranger, she loved to talk with people and would always leave them with a smile on their face.
Peggy was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. She was stationed at Falcon Air Station (now Schriever Space Force Base) at the then verging Global Positioning System (GPS) Satellite Operations Center as a Computer Operator. After completing her enlistment, Peggy entered the work force as an Information Technology Professional where she worked for over 30 years supporting the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) at the Cheyenne Mountain Complex.
Peggy attended Colorado Technical University where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Systems Management. She graduated with highest honors, Summa Cum Laude.
Peggy had a love for music her entire life. Her passion for music was first displayed in her high school marching band where she learned to play every instrument in the band. After high school she attended the University Of Missouri, Columbia and played saxophone in the marching band. In the Air Force, Peggy played the saxophone in the marching band while attending basic training. At home she would often play the piano and sing.
Peggy had a passion for crafting and to say a “passion” is an understatement. Two of her favorite things to create were custom greeting cards and themed crocheted afghans. While she enjoyed creating things, the greatest joy she received is when she would create a one of a kind card or afghan for a family member or friend and see the joy it would bring them.
Peggy will be laid to rest in Tarkio, Missouri along with her infant son Alan Kirk Deal, brother Charles McAdams, her loving parents and many other family members.
Peggy is survived by her loving husband; children and step- children; son-in-law, Tony Quezada; granddaughters, Janelle and Adalena Quezada; son-in-law, Rocky Long; grandsons, Hunter and Lennox Long, granddaughter Elowyn Long; sister, Shelly Laborico (Dave Laborico), sister, Barbara Lingle (Robert Lingle), brother, Todd McAdams and brother, Phillip McAdams.
