Marrison B. Thacker, son of James Franklin and Katie Bell (Inman) Thacker, was born January 31, 1932, in Fairfax, Missouri. On December 31, 1950, Marrison was united in marriage to Dona Jean Johnson. They lived in St. Joseph, Missouri, where Marrison was employed by St. Joseph Light & Power for 44 years. They later lived in Georgetown, Indiana, to be close to family. Marrison passed away December 19, 2015, at Bee Hive Homes in Georgetown, Indiana, at the age of 83. He was preceded in death by six brothers and four sisters.

Marrison loved his family and enjoyed the times they had together. He liked the outdoors and working with his hands. He was admired for his strong desire to help others. Marrison was a Scottish Rite, 32nd degree Mason and a Shriner. He was a wonderful son, father, grandfather, and friend.

Survivors include his wife, Dona, his children, Blane Thacker (Cheryl), Savannah, Missouri, Coral Wert, Kansas City, Missouri, Susan Schurman (Bob), St. Joseph, Missouri, and Matthew Thacker (Elizabeth), Lanesville, Indiana; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Service and Inurnment: 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, December 30, 2015, High Creek, Watson, Missouri.
There is no visitation.
