Martha “Sue” Niedermeyer, the daughter of James Holland and Goldena (Allan) Ferguson, was born March 16, 1922 in Roanoke, Missouri. She graduated from Moberly, Missouri High School and continued her education at Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Missouri.

 

On September 11, 1942, Sue was united in marriage to Edward Louis Niedermeyer. While Ed was in medical school, they made their home in St. Louis, Missouri, where she worked as a secretary. In October of 1949, they moved to Tarkio, Missouri, where Sue lived to the present time. Ed preceded her in death, passing away January 7, 1992.

 

Sue was a member of the Allen-Schiffern American Legion Auxiliary in Tarkio, the Tarkio Presbyterian Church and also member of the Tarkio Chapter FF of the PEO Sisterhood. Sue passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at the Tarkio Rehabilitation and Health Care Center at the age of 88 years.

 

Sue is preceded in death by her parents and husband Dr. Edward Louis Niedermeyer; one brother and one sister. Survivors include her three sons, Richard Lee Niedermeyer and his wife Jeanne, Noblesville, Indiana, Thomas Edward Niedermeyer, Urbandale, Iowa and Paul Holland Niedermeyer and his wife Barbara, Clinton, Iowa; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

10:30 am, Saturday, July 3, 2010, Tarkio Presbyterian Church, Tarkio.
Interment: Home Cemetery, Tarkio.
Visitation: 7:00-8:00 pm, Friday, July 2, 2010, Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio.
