Mary Jane (Kokesh) Groff, the daughter of Albert Charles and Anna Barbara (Gregory) Kokesh, was born October 11, 1931, in Burlington Junction, Missouri. She attended grade school in Burlington Junction, graduating from Maryville High School, Maryville, Missouri, in 1949. Later, she attended the College of Pharmacy, University of Kansas City, Kansas City, Missouri for one year.

On April 15, 1951, Mary Jane was united in marriage to Darrell E. Groff in Maryville. They became the parents of two children, Mark Eugene and James Gregory. Darrell passed away in 2000.

Mary Jane was a member of the St. Francis Hospital Auxiliary and Countryside Christian Church. Mary Jane passed away Monday, May 27, 2024, at Village Care Center, Maryville, at the age of 92.

Besides her parents and husband, Darrell Groff, Mary Jane was preceded in death by son, Mark Groff; sister, Betty Jo Kokesh. Survivors include son, Greg (Sharon) Groff, Rock Port, Missouri; granddaughter, Lacey Groff; twin great granddaughters, Chloe and Zoe Groff; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial Graveside Service and Inurnment: 2:00 P.M., Sunday, June 2, 2024, King City Cemetery, King City, Missouri.

The family will be available to receive friends before and after the graveside service at the cemetery.

Memorials: Maryville Public Library or Nodaway County Animal Shelter.

Arrangements: Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port.
