Mary K. Fuelling
1939-2012
Rock Port, Missouri

 

Mary Kay Fuelling, the daughter of Merle W. and Lillian L. (Bengtson) Fuelling, was born August 18, 1939, in Albion, Nebraska. She attended Golden View Country School, west of Rock Port, before graduating from Rock Port High School in 1957. Mary Kay entered registered nurse training at Trinity Lutheran Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri, graduating in 1960.

 

Mary Kay was employed by Community Hospital, Fairfax, Missouri, and Grape Community Hospital, Hamburg, Iowa, retiring in November 2000. Mary Kay built a home in the Red Star Community, north of Rock Port, where she lived from 1969-2001, until moving into Rock Port, in 2001. She had a great love for animals, raising and caring for horses, calves, puppies and birds. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Rock Port. Mary Kay passed away July 15, 2012, at Heartland Regional Medical Center, Saint Joseph, Missouri, at the age of 72.

 

Besides her parents, Mary Kay was preceded in death by brother, James M. Fuelling and sister-in-law, Phyllis Fuelling. Survivors include brothers, Merle W. Fuelling, Jr., Granger, Indiana, Paul M. Fuelling, Windsor, Missouri, and Mark Fuelling and wife, Mary, Clinton, Missouri; sisters, Johnita Moody and husband, Don, Rock Port, Missouri, and Ruth Lackas and husband, Marlin, Scandia, Minnesota; numerous nieces, nephews and many close friends.

 

Memorial Service: 11:00 A.M., Saturday, July 21, 2012, First Lutheran Church, Rock Port.
A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
There is no visitation.
