Camdenton, Missouri

 

Mary M. Lindsay, the daughter of June and Elizabeth (Hampson) Hays, was born September 10, 1924, in Watson, Missouri. Mary attended Watson High School, graduating in 1942. She also attended Chillicothe Business College, graduating in 1944.

 

On June 29, 1946, Mary was united in marriage to James Robert Lindsay in Troy, Kansas. To this union, one son, Bill, was born. They made their home in the Tarkio area.

 

Mary was employed by Claude Templeton, at the former First National Bank, for over forty years, before retiring in March 1986. After retiring, Mary and Bob moved to Camdenton, Missouri, where they lived to the present time. Mary was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter FF. Mary passed away April 6, 2012, at her home in Camdenton, at the age of 87.

 

Besides her parents, Mary was preceded in death by a son, Bill Lindsay; three brothers and two sisters. Survivors include husband, Bob Lindsay, of the home, Camdenton; two grandsons, Jimmy Lindsay and wife, Emily and Danny Lindsay and wife, Tasha, all of Saint Joseph, Missouri; great grandchildren, Andon, Anna, Levi, Noah, Hailey and Jaylin Lindsay, all of Saint Joseph; brother-in-law, Ray Barker, Camdenton; niece, Heidi Ortiz and her children, Krystal, Ashley, Elicia and D.J. Ortiz, Camdenton; and nephew, Billy Dean Lindsay, Tarkio.

 

Services: 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 12, 2012, Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio.
Interment: Home Cemetery, Tarkio.
Memorials: Hospice Compassus, 4681 Hwy 54 Unit 16 Kings Plaza, Osage Beach, Missouri, 65065.
Open visitation will begin 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Davis Funeral Home. There is no scheduled family visitation.
