Mary R. (Heard) Lehman, the daughter of Bill and Donnitta (Moslander) Heard, was born July 19, 1965 in Iowa City, Iowa. She attended Tarkio, Missouri schools and graduated from Mt. Vernon, Indiana high school in 1984.

On September 5, 1986, Mary was united in marriage to Hank W. Lehman at the Tarkio Church Of God. They became the parents of three children, Kathi, Krystal and Joshua and made their home in Red Oak, Iowa, Watson, Missouri, Tarkio and Shenandoah, Iowa. Mary was a stay at home mom most of her life, but in her younger years worked at Torrey Pines, Grandma Acres Daycare, and Wal-Mart. Mary passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at her home in Shenandoah at the age of 54.

Mary was a member of the Tarkio Church Of God. She was very opinionated, competitive and a “Loud and Proud” sports mom. She enjoyed sewing, and was recently learning to play the piano. She knew sign language and had hopes of becoming an interpreter for the deaf in a courtroom setting. Most of all however, Mary loved her family and her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Besides her parents, Mary was preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Shipley and brother-in-law, Glenn Armstrong. Survivors include husband, Hank Lehman, Shenandoah; children, Kathi (Chris) Allen, Sidney, Iowa, Krystal Lehman, Farragut, Iowa and Joshua Lehman, Shenandoah; four grandchildren, Dylan, Danika, Rowan, and Marshall; Siblings, Danny (Barb) Wymore, Eureka Springs, Missouri, Billy (Debra) Heard, Evansville, Indiana, Anita Armstrong, Watson,Missouri, Jonathan (Cindy) Heard, Jasonville, Indiana, Becky (Russ) Alley, Tarkio, David (Lisa) Heard, Evansville, Joseph (Missy) Heard, Winter Haven, Florida; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral Service 11:00 AM, Friday, November 8, 2019, Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio.

Interment: Home Cemetery, Tarkio.

Memorials: Mary Lehman Memorial Fund.

Open visitation will begin, 9:00 a.m., Thursday, Davis Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends that evening from 6:00 – 7:00 PM.
