Melvin wasn't a "one in a million" but more like a "one in a billion" type person. I don't recall ever seeing him without a smile on his face. I still have visions way back when of the black Chevy truck headed up & down I-29 countless times, and without fail, he'd always be waving at the patrol car. Often times I would visit with him at auctions all over northwest Missouri (and we all know a 'visit' with Melvin could last well over an hour). There's never been a finer man on the face of the earth. He'll be missed but never forgotten. To T.J. & the rest of the family, it was an honor to be his friend.

Much love to TJ, Lori, Susan and Families at this time and our sincerest condolences. Your Family has been OUR Family since approximately 1957. Miles was the "son" my Daddy, Ret. Msgt. Marshall L. Fisher never had. Their love and true friendship never faltered through many years. Miles was a cherished gift to this world and he was greatly loved by the Fisher and Luttrell Families. His wonderful memory will always reside in our hearts.

Sincere condolences to Mels family, he will be missed by everyone who had the honor of knowing him. Melvin always held a special place in my heart as one of the most genuinely kind and loving people I have ever known. I have many great memories of talking with him from everything John Deere or just farming, faith and family.
