Mildred Irene (Myrene) Noah died February 16, 2010 at the Fairfax Hospital. She was born June 7, 1920 in Grant City, Missouri. She came to Rock Port with her family in 1929 from Columbia, Missouri. She graduated from Rock Port High School in 1938 after which she attended Peru State College for one year before going to Central Business College in Kansas City. She attained the rank of Eagle Girl Scout while a senior in high school and was a troop leader for several years.

Myrene was employed by the Atchison County Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service Office for more than 36 years and retired from there on November 30, 1990. After her retirement, she did volunteer work for the Fairfax Community Hospital, Rock Port School Library, the Rock Port Baptist Church and the Rock Port Multipurpose Center.

Myrene was a member of the Rock Port Baptist Church, a Past-President of Chapter DU of PEO, and belonged to several bridge clubs. Her hobbies included playing bridge, genealogy, cake decorating, reading and traveling. She visited 31 different states and the District of Columbia in the USA and Canada, England, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Austria and Liechtenstein.

Myrene was very active in the Baptist Church chairing a number of committees. She was in charge of the nursery for many years, did the church bulletins and the newsletter for 10 years and was responsible for putting the church records on computer for the first time.

She enjoyed working on genealogy and wrote and published a book about her Benson ancestors. She completed her credentials for becoming a D.A.R. member. Later she worked on the King and Noah lines.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Audrey Benson King and Clarence Knight; her husband, Donald Noah, a step-brother, Welby King, step-sister Audrey Benson, and half-sister Phyllis Baker. She is survived by her daughter, Pat Greer, West Palm Beach, Florida, granddaughters, Lisa Greer Forsythe and her husband, Robin, Stacy Greer Underwood and her husband, Dr. Jay Underwood, five great grandchildren, Haley Forsythe, Laney Forsythe, Greer Underwood, Jimmy Underwood, and Ian Noah Underwood, all of Mississippi, half-brother, Dale Knight and his wife, Charlotte, of Grant City, Missouri, brother-in-law, Kenneth Baker and many beloved nieces and nephews.
